About Us

Where it all began:

“Rowley Fuels” was originally established in 1980 by Jim and Leslie Rowley in Milton, Vermont. The Rowley’s began operating their business out of their home with their underground tanks located next to Middle Road Market. In 1988, they built a small office located where the 2 upright tanks are located today (behind our gas/diesel pumps) on Route 7. In 1999, a second fuel terminal was added in Alburg, Vermont where we still operate from today, to accommodate our Islander customers.

As their business grew, so did their staff. In 2001 the office staff relocated to 10 Main Street in Milton for 12 years and their fuel tanks moved to 8 River Street in Milton.

Jim Rowley and Scott Allard (Jim’s son in law) didn’t stop there! Once Scott started working for Jim and Leslie they decided to expand the business even further and established “Rowley Fuels Propane” in 2008.

The first location of our new propane bulk tank was located in front of our Milton Mini Storage units on Checkerberry Square in Milton, Vermont..

In 2013, we built our current office location at 789 Route 7 South in Milton to accommodate the staff, trucks and other equipment. As the business increased so did the staffing. Jim and Leslie’s daughters (Christina and Jo-Ellen), spouses (Scott and Dan) and grandson, Scott and Christina’s son (Garrett) came on board. The roles of each family member has changed throughout the years we have been in business.. As of today, Dan Jarvis is our President – Garrett Allard is our Vice President and Scott Allard is our Operations Manager. Together they work closely with our wonderful staff that includes: Erin Hibbard, Director – Cheryl Langlais, Accounts Payable and Receivable – Angie Davis, Propane Service Coordinator – Tracy Reen, Fuel Service Coordinator – Bill Gidney, Ben Bailey and Keagan Landry, Propane and Fuel Drivers – Terry Chellis, Kayden Keith and Will Abston, Service Technicians – Gerrit Desranleau and Al Fredette, Property and Vehicle Maintenance Technicians.
